Nashville and Rutherford Numbers Differ
The Tennessean reported this afternoon that the housing market in Nashville improved in October, thanks to sales in condominiums. Condo sales were up 44% from this time last year. Last month, 3331 homes were closed in Nashville.A quick study of the Rutherford market revealed that 503 homes were sold in October throughout the county. In October 2005, 556 homes closed. This means home sales were down a little more than 9% from this time last year.
By comparison, in October 2005 only 32 condos sold in Rutherford County. In October 2006, 19 condos sold. This is nearly a 60% drop in condo sales - a sharp difference between Nashville and Rutherford County.
